Project Overview

This 3.6kWp hybrid solar system with 10kWh battery backup was installed to provide a stable and cost-effective power source for a small residential home in Bujumbura. The system helps the client achieve energy independence while reducing electricity expenses.

Challenges & Solutions

One major challenge was shading from nearby buildings, which reduced solar panel efficiency. This was mitigated by adjusting the panel tilt and placement for optimal sunlight exposure. Additionally, battery efficiency was a concern, so we installed a smart charge controller to regulate power flow and improve performance. The local power grid’s instability also posed a challenge, which was overcome by integrating automatic switchover technology, ensuring seamless transitions between solar and grid power.
